Our Vision

Ridiculous Shooter’s Tokenomics is faithfully based on the fun factor, with the belief that if the game is more fun, more players will play the game, and that leads to more in-app purchases and trades, thus resulting in more revenues as well as trading royalties.

Part of the revenues and royalties will then be pumped back into a reward pool as Play-And-Earn rewards to boost player loyalties for the long term.

On top of that, new games will be released under a strong economy to attract more players of different interests, to further strengthen revenues and the economy.

This vision removes us from NFT game’s traditional business model that relies on 2 factors to be profitable:

  1. Token prices must be increased over time forever, which is impossible.
  2. The price of NFT items must be increasing over time just for old players to sell them to new players for profits until the price cannot go up further, which in this case is similar to a Ponzi scheme and not sustainable at all.

We believe that Play-And-Earn rewards should be derived from a reward pool sourced from in-game item sale revenues and trading royalties, instead of ever-increasing NFT prices until collapse.

This reward model also accepts players as part of the beneficial party within an incentivization system that grows Ridiculous Metaverse into a greater being that rewards every loyal supporter, and it is fun!

Overview of $RIDIC Token

$RIDIC token will be the main token of the Ridiculous Shooter game, and the native token for the Ridiculous Metaverse, with the following properties:

1. $RIDIC token is a Utility Token

$RIDIC token is created as a utility to streamline and improve the transaction process for all games in Ridiculous Metaverse, such as NFT minting, NFT trading, etc.

A great example is that in Web2 games, you will need to buy Currency A for Game A, and Currency B for Game B, while both games are from the same company.

In most cases, Currency A cannot be used to buy items in Game B, even though the games are produced by the same company.

In Ridiculous Metaverse, you can use the $RIDIC token to buy any item in both Game A and Game B, which is considered an improvement of the transaction process for players.

2. $RIDIC token is tradeable

$RIDIC token can be traded inside and outside of the games. Once it is in the owner’s hands, the owner is free to trade it without any restriction whatsoever.

3. $RIDIC token is created for the benefit of all parties

$RIDIC tokens are the center of Ridiculous Shooter’s player reward system. In Ridiculous Metaverse, players can earn both tokens (as well as token-related rewards such as NFT), and these rewards can be easily traded with others without restriction too.

Besides players, $RIDIC tokens will also be rewarded to all participants in the economy of the metaverse, including content creators, community, and third-party developers who push truly beneficial impacts toward the Ridiculous Metaverse.

$RIDIC tokens will also be allocated to both early adopters and loyal long-term players through a fixed and vested supply schedule, with a hard cap for each allocation to prevent exploits.

4. $RIDIC token is sustainable

$RIDIC token is designed to be sustainable to combat inflation and security issues. For more details, kindly refer to the dedicated ‘Sustainability’ section at the bottom of this page.

$RIDIC Token Utilities

1. Mint new NFTs that are playable and tradable

In Ridiculous Shooter, the $RIDIC token can be used with or without other in-game currencies to mint or customize new characters, character traits, weapons, etc, all of which will be able to be traded on an open marketplace such as Myria Marketplace.

$RIDIC tokens that are consumed during NFT minting process will be allocated to the $RIDIC Staking Reward Pool and $RIDIC Reward Pool that will be mentioned below, which the pools will reallocate rewards to eligible players and active stakers.

2. Minting items with $RIDIC

Inside the Ridiculous Shooter game, players will be able to use $RIDIC token to perform following activities, but not limited to:

  • Mint new characters
  • Mint new character traits
  • Mint new weapons
  • Mint new weapon attachments
  • Mint tickets for character’s cosmetic items
  • Mint tickets for character’s visual customization
  • Enter weekly, monthly, and seasonal tournaments to win prizes
  • Draw loot boxes

3. Trading Items with $RIDIC

Players will be able to trade items in-game with $RIDIC. Trading has no restriction, as long as it is a NFT item, the item can be traded with $RIDIC with a royalty fee, which the royalty fee is to be finalized and announced.

4. $RIDIC Game Reward Pool

A $RIDIC reward pool will be formed to reward Play-And-Earn players, which the rewards will be sourced from:

  • Part of Developer’s In-App Purchase Revenues
  • Part of Developer’s Advertising Revenues
  • Part of $RIDIC NFT Trading Royalties
  • Allocation from Play-And-Earn Reward Reserve

Rewards in the form of $RIDIC tokens will be allocated to players during in-game events such as Ranked Season, Weekly or Monthly Tournament, Co-Op Events, etc.

$RIDIC reward pool is formed to reward players in healthy ways similar to how traditional web2 games reward players, to prevent circumstances that the players can only earn by selling more expensive NFT items to new players.

5. $RIDIC Staking Reward Pool

Staking rewards will be formed to reward active $RIDIC stakers. These rewards are sourced from player interaction with $RIDIC tokens, such as NFT trading royalties.

Rewards will be claimable by all users who kept $RIDIC token at 14 days intervals. The amount of staked tokens is determined by the lowest amount of tokens the players held in their wallet during the reward interval period.

To qualify as ‘Active Staker’, players must also have voted on any proposal in the last 60 days and must have held $RIDIC for the duration specified.

6. Voting

$RIDIC Token holders will be able to vote on game-related proposals via decentralized governance. Proposals will include topics such as:

  • Priority of Game Feature Implementation
  • Modification of Existing Game Feature
  • Priority of Next Game Event

Other proposals will be added through curation procedures. To submit a proposal for voting, a player needs to own a certain amount of $RIDIC tokens, which will be determined based on the proposal properties.

$RIDIC Token holders will not be able to vote on non-game-related proposals that could directly influence the ROI of $RIDIC token holder, such as:

  • $RIDIC Fund Allocation
  • Percentage of Developer’s In-App Purchase Revenues To Be Returned Into Reward Pool
  • Percentage of $RIDIC NFT Trading Royalties

just so the $RIDIC will not be considered as Securities, which is deemed illegal in the jurisdiction of most countries.

At the core, as mentioned, $RIDIC is a Utility Token. Also, this measure is implemented for mass adoption of the $RIDIC token with as less jurisdiction friction as possible.

Other proposals will be added through curation procedures. To submit a proposal for voting, a player needs to own a certain amount of $RIDIC tokens, which will be determined based on the proposal properties.

The Ridiculous Committee serves the full right to choose and propose items that will be put to vote, only if the items are seen as beneficial for the ecosystem, and the Committee will assign non-Committee members to participate in proposal curation to pick up the positive and beneficial proposals that will be voted by all $RIDIC token holders.

All proposals that are successfully voted on and passed will be executed in a determined length of time as soon as technical and commercial requirements are fulfilled. The more $RIDIC token a player holds and staked, the greater the holder’s voting power, with more weight on staked $RIDIC token.

Token Supply & Allocation

There will be 10 billion (10,000,000,000) $RIDIC token generated during Token Generation Event, and the supply amount will be fixed forever. Full token allocation plan below:

Play And Earn 40% 4,000,000,000 Unlocked over 5 years, with issuance begins 2 months after Token Generation Event
$RIDIC Token Reserves 25% 2,500,000,000 Unlocked over 2 years, with 12 month cliffs
Community and Ecosystem Fund 16% 1,600,000,000 Unlocked over 5 years, with 3 month cliffs
Community Allocation 6% 600,000,000 3% will be unlocked immediately, and 3% unlocked over 3 months.
Ecosystem Development 6% 600,000,000 3% will be unlocked immediately for dev staff expansion, and 3% unlocked over 5 years with 3 month cliffs.
Token Foundation 6% 600,000,000 1% will be unlocked immediately after Token Generation Event, and 1 % unlocked over 5 years with 3 month cliffs.
Token Presale 6% 600,000,000 Unlocked over 3 years, with 12 months cliff

Play And Earn Rewards (40%)

‌4,000,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (40% of the total) are reserved for the Play And Earn Reward pool. This is the largest allocation as Play And Earn is the main feature of Ridiculous Shooter and Ridiculous Metaverse, and most importantly $RIDIC tokens will be utilized in most gaming activities within the metaverse.

$RIDIC tokens will be allocated to a variety of Play And Earn campaigns such as:

  • Ranked Seasons
  • Weekly, Monthly and Seasonal Tournaments
  • Weekly and Monthly Missions
  • Co-op Events
  • Other events and competitions

$RIDIC Token Reserves (25%)

2,500,000,000 $RIDIC (25% of total) tokens will be allocated to the Ridiculous Committee, the team behind the Ridiculous Metaverse for the development of the $RIDIC token. The tokens will be unlocked over 48 months with a 1-year cliff after a successful token sale.

No individual team members, board members, or founders will be allocated any $RIDIC token from this pool. The reserves will serve to solve issues related to $RIDIC token development in a beneficial way.

Community & Ecosystem Fund (16%)

‌1,600,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (16% of the total) will be set aside as a reward pool to build community and improve community engagement. Part of the allocation will be distributed to the community at the discretion of the Ridiculous Committee.

The Community & Ecosystem Fund includes, but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Community growth
  • Community engagement
  • Content creators
  • Partnership
  • Referral reward
  • Grants (third-party developers, marketing)

Community Allocation (6%)

600,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (6% of the total) will be allocated to community events that reward early adopters. We believe it is vital to recognize early supporters that believe in us and helped us out throughout the growth of the metaverse.

  • 300,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (3% of the total) will be allocated to the first event, in which players will receive tokens based on their Founder Coin NFT and Founder NFT Collection purchases.
  • 200,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (2% of the total) will be allocated to the subsequent Play-And-Earn event. Ridiculous Shooter players will be able to earn $RIDIC tokens by playing the game and meeting event requirements.
  • The remaining 100,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (1% of the total) will be reserved and only used to solve certain issues, for example, players did not receive tokens, etc.

Ecosystem Development (6%)

600,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (6% of the total) will be allocated to the development team of Ridiculous Shooter and Ridiculous Metaverse with 5 years of vesting schedule. This allocation will be used as a fund to fuel the development of all games, tokens, and NFT-related features in Ridiculous Metaverse.

Token Foundation (6%)

600,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (6% of the total) will be allocated to Token Foundation, which is an independent team dedicated to token-related administration tasks, such as executing token airdrop routine or resolving token reclaim issues. The Token Foundation is fully separated from the Game Development team, which also means that the Ecosystem Development fund will not be allocated to the Token Foundation team.

Public Token Sale (6%)

600,000,000 $RIDIC tokens (6% of the total) will be sold via a public token presale. This sale will help push early development and utilization of the $RIDIC token.

Sustainability

Sustainability is critically important when it comes to tokenomics because it ensures the benefit for all parties from investors to supporters. Therefore, we built some security measurements to be applied to both game and token development.

1. Limit Weekly Reward Pool

There will be a maximum amount for weekly reward allocation, to prevent catastrophic exploits or hacks that drain up $RIDIC tokens from players and developers. The maximum amount will be determined based on monthly revenues including in-app purchases and trading royalties.

2. Flexible In-App Purchase Pricing

The pricing of in-game items will be adjusted based on the performance of the $RIDIC token and game revenues. This measurement is deployed to combat issues such as inflation. There will be a mathematical algorithm developed to calculate appropriate pricing.

3. RIDIC Token Reserves

In case irreversible damages have been done to the entire economy of the $RIDIC token, part or all of the RIDIC Token Reserves (25% of total tokens) will be used to recover the economy, and this is the very purpose of the existence of the reserve.

All in all, the tokenomics of Ridiculous Shooter game and Ridiculous Metaverse is designed to be sustainable in the way that it also promotes a fun and worry-free experience, that players can fully enjoy the game without pressures from token inflation.

As an ongoing process, the Ridiculous Committee will also continue to explore more proven statistical methods to increase the sustainability of the economy in Ridiculous Metaverse.
